It’s easy to spend the final week of the year eating and drinking far more than you should. Second-helpings of Christmas dinner washed down with mulled wine and a box of chocolates won’t do much towards living a healthier lifestyle.
That’s likely one of the reasons why so many people turn to veganism in the New Year, and hence how Veganuary was born. The month sees big brands launching new vegan alternatives to their usual products. This year, over 250,000 people registered that they were taking part in Veganuary, another year-on-year increase on sign-ups.
At Borderfields, we also want to get involved. Borderfields oils are designed and crafted to be a healthier, vegan-friendly alternative to other cooking oils. let’s start at the beginning, shall we?
Cold-pressed rapeseed oils can be drizzled as a salad dressing or used to fry or bake with. Rapeseed oils are low in saturated fats, which is a major reason why they’re so much better for you than other cooking oils. That’s all great, but what really sets rapeseed oils apart from the competition is the fact that they’re full of other nutritional benefits. High in Omega 3, 6 and 9, rapeseed oil helps to reduce cholesterol and maintain healthy joints, heart and brain functions.
Over the course of Veganuary and beyond, we’ll be posting a range of vegetarian and vegan recipes that you can create at home using the Borderfields range of oils and sprays.
